Flitting butterflies, hovering bumble bees,and nest-building birds are what one might spy flying near Little Acorn Cottage which is located somewhere in the  deep imaginary forest of Miniatureland. This quaint woodsy cottage in half-scale was a class taught by Jill Castoral and Pat Holstrom at the Dallas Miniature Showcase in  June 2019. I had admired this class prototype on the internet and felt so fortunate that this teaching duo offered this two day class at a mini show that was only a half-days drive from my home.  It stands 11 inches tall by 7 inches wide and is constructed on a circular wooden dome base. Five big oak trees encircle the cream-colored cosy cottage inhabited by two magical granny-type ladies who enjoy quilting and baking. Completed  September 2019.
